1. Attractions in Anglesey

Anglesey Island is located on the northwest coast of Wales and is known as the "Mother of Wales". It is one of the birthplaces of Welsh culture. This is the holy land for hiking on the three British Islands. The coastal trail of Anglesey island across the entire coastline is nearly 200 kilometers. The landforms along the way are diverse and the scenery is extremely beautiful. In addition to the sea and sand, there are farmland, sand dunes, salt marshes, and stone forests.

1) Llanfair Township

There are many activities on this island, such as golfing, boating, playing on the beach, and watching wild animals and the semi-wild Red Mountain Pony. Many tourists came to take pictures in front of Anglesey Train Station.

2) Marquess of Anglesey's Column

This 27-meter-high memorial tower was built in 1815 to commemorate the heroic performance of the first Earl of Anglesey and Field Marshal Henry William Paget in the Battle of Waterloo. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower and embrace the beautiful scenery of Anglesey after the long and steep 115 steps.

3) Beaumaris Castle

At the beginning of the 20th century, the castle was extensively renovated, part of the stone building was restored and the moat was refilled. The remains of Beaumaris Castle are now managed and maintained by the Welsh Heritage Protection Agency Cadw as a tourist attraction.
