Our parent company also operates the East Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway, West Midlands Railway and the Merseyrail concession, West Midlands plus bus services in London and Surrey. Abellio East Anglia Limited has been appointed by the Department for Transport to operate the Stansted Express service until 2025. The London Stansted Express is a special train service from Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street Station in London. The Stansted Express train station can be found under the passenger terminal of Stansted Airport. After getting off at the arrival station, just go down the escalator and you will be on the platform. Stansted Express is the fastest way to get from Stansted Airport to central London - average travel time is 45 minutes, trains run every 15 minutes and tickets can be purchased online. On most journeys, the train stops at Liverpool Street, Stratford and Tottenham Hale, which are transfers to the London Underground and offer easy access to many parts of London, so worth a try. The Stansted Express terminus on Liverpool Street is located in the business district of London, which is quite acceptable for most travelers. Because the Stansted Express is traffic-free, it is also the most reliable transfer option between the airport and London.

    Book in advance
Most of the railway companies throughout Europe release their tickets approximately three to six months in advance, with many offering lower prices for early bookings. If you know the dates you wish to travel, it may be possible to secure cheaper train tickets from Milan to Rome by booking in advance.
    Split Tickets
Choose a slower or connecting train
On certain busier routes, it may be possible to opt for a slower or connecting train. Although it may take slightly longer than high-speed or direct services, you could potentially secure a cheaper fare if you have some extra time to spare. Additionally, you'll have more opportunity to appreciate the scenic views of the countryside!
    Travel Off-Peak
Be open to flexibility in your travel schedule
A significant number of train services in Europe are also utilized as commuter services, and as such, many train companies raise ticket prices during "peak hours" (typically from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00 on weekdays).
